Thanksgiving Tradition

On Thursday ( 11/23/2017) we will all (well most of us) sit down for a Thanksgiving feast.  I assume your house is probably like mine and will have the traditional holiday dinner of turkey, mashed potatoes, stuffing, cranberry sauce, candied yams, green bean casserole and pumpkin pie (mustn’t forget the pumpkin pie, it’s the best part).  We will all gorge ourselves until our stomachs can’t hold one more spoonful and then we will either veg out in front of the TV or start planning our Black Friday shopping or perhaps even go shopping.

These are the traditional American things to do on Thanksgiving if you’re not one of the many retail workers getting ready for those holiday shoppers.

I always like to go around the table and make everyone say what they are thankful for.  But of course my family hates it and I always end up crying because that’s just what I do anytime my family says something nice.

So this year I think I will skip the torture and the tears and just tell you how thankful I am.  I’m thankful for each and every one of you who have purchased my products or not.  Who follow my blog or just pop in to read my post every now and then.  Who subscribe to my email list or follow me on social media and like my posts, or not.  Who leave me comments or just stalk my feeds.  I am thankful for all of you.  Because without all of you I wouldn’t be able to do what I love.  And for that I thank you.  (ok, here come the tears)

I hope you have a joyous holiday surrounded by family and friends.  I hope your table runneth over and your house is filled with the sounds of laughter.  And I hope somewhere in between the hustle and bustle of preparing that big feast and planning for the great shopping deals you’ll get a little creative time to do something you love.

Happy Thanksgiving from my family to yours.
